DHI vs. FUE: Hair Transplant Procedures Explained
Lion-implanter
The Lion implanter represents the latest technology in DHI hair transplantation. The Lion implanter is a pen-shaped tool with a 0.5-1.5mm hollow needle at one end.
The hair follicle is placed in the opening of the needle and can be, with great precision, implanted directly at the desired location and with the desired angle.
THE USE OF LION IMPLANTERS
The Lion implanter is used during hair transplants and treatments to increase hair density. The Lion implanter is the preferred instrument for transplanting beards, mustaches and eyebrows, as well as minor treatments.
DURATION OF TREATMENT
The actual hair transplant usually takes between 4-8 hours, depending on the number of hair follicles transplanted. A maximum of 2500-3000 hair follicles can be transplanted.
100% pain free
We use medical sedation and local anaesthesia in the scalp, to ensure a completely pain free course.
Forcep
For larger hair transplants we use FUE method (forceps). Every follicle is inserted into a micro pocket, so that only the actual hair string is visible on the surface.
We preferably place single hair follicles at the front and follicles with more than 2 hairs further back, so that a more natural look is achieved.
USE OF MANUAL METHOD AND FORCEP
The forcep method is used for major hair transplants and treatments that are intended to increase the hair density. The advantage of inserting with forceps is that we can treat large areas faster, so that the treatment time is reduced.
DURATION OF TREATMENT
The actual hair transplant usually takes 4-8 hours, depending on the number of hair follicles transplanted. A maximum of 5000-6000 hair follicles can be transplanted.
100% pain free
We use medical sedation and local anaesthesia in the scalp, to ensure a completely pain free course.

Christian's hair started falling out 2 years ago, predominantly around the hairline and temples. As Christian's hair loss was not very extensive, we proposed a treatment plan with hair transplantation of 1200 hair follicles. To restore a hairline around the temples.
